About this activity
This half-day canyoning experience takes about 4 hours to complete and is best suited for adventurers with a good fitness level who want to enjoy a more challenging outdoor activity in nature. It’s a fantastic choice if you have already tried the Benahavís River Walk and are looking for a bigger adventure. The canyon is located just 15 minutes from the centre of Estepona, making it very easy to reach.
On this canyoning trail, you will experience four beginner-friendly rappels. These rappels are not technically difficult, making the activity suitable for first-time canyoning participants who want a safe but exciting introduction, as well as for anyone who has done canyoning before.
Before the adventure begins, you will take a 40-minute hike to reach the canyon entrance. The walk is scenic and enjoyable, but it does require a reasonable level of physical fitness. Once inside the canyon, you will be surrounded by impressive rock formations and Mediterranean landscapes as you rappel, climb, swim, and explore your way downstream. Along the way, you can cool off in beautiful natural mountain pools and enjoy a few optional jumps into the water.
By booking this activity, you will be accompanied by an experienced English-speaking guide who will help you through the tricky parts of the trail. We have a young, fun, and international team with enthusiastic and licensed guides from Spain, The Netherlands, Hungary, the UK, and more. Our team is passionate about guiding you through the canyon safely while making it an unforgettable experience at the same time. Your guide will also take photos and videos with a GoPro®, which you can download for free after the tour so you’ll have lasting memories of your adventure.
We provide you with a complete set of high-quality canyoning gear: wetsuits, helmets, harnesses, and special canyoning boots (or bring your own sports shoes with good grip). Everything you need is included, no surprises or hidden fees.
Due to the physical demands of the terrain, this tour is not suitable for people with a low fitness level, a fear of heights, or young children. It’s important that all participants in your group are confident in an adventurous outdoor setting.
This is a seasonal experience, usually best enjoyed between October and May, when the canyon conditions and water levels are ideal. The activity takes place in Estepona, a city south of Marbella. The location is only 15 minutes from the city centre of Estepona, and about 30 minutes from Marbella. Join the thousands of travellers who’ve already made unforgettable memories with us! We hope to see you soon.
A minimum of 5 participants is required for a group tour to proceed. You can also request a private tour here.
