About this activity
Discover one of the most spectacular canyoning adventures in Andalusia – where you’ll rappel down waterfalls, jump into crystal-clear pools, slide along natural rock formations, and swim through water carved by an underground river. The Barranco de Zarzalones is breathtakingly beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery and dramatic limestone cliffs.
This tour involves around 3 to 4 hours inside the canyon, but the total activity lasts about 6 hours including transport. It is designed for adventurous beginners or anyone with a good level of fitness who wants to push themselves in nature. Participants should be between 16 and 55 years old, confident swimmers, and comfortable with heights and water jumps. This makes Zarzalones a thrilling yet achievable challenge for those ready to take their canyoning experience to the next level.
Your guided tour is led by an experienced, fully licensed English-speaking canyoning guide. All technical gear is included: wetsuit, helmet, harness, and ropes. Your guide will coach you through each rappel and ensure you have a safe and exciting experience. We recommend bringing sport shoes with good grip, but canyoning shoes can also be provided if needed.
Our international team of guides is young, enthusiastic, and passionate about canyoning. They’ll also capture the highlights of your day with GoPro® photos and videos, which you can download for free afterward.
The activity takes place in Yunquera, in the heart of the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park, about 50–60 minutes from Marbella. Your guide will pick you up in Marbella, and along the way you’ll enjoy a scenic road trip with commentary about the region – making this adventure a perfect combination of discovery and adrenaline.
Please note: This activity is available on request only, as it requires a minimum of 6 participants, or you can request a private tour. We also carry out a short background check to ensure everyone meets the fitness and safety requirements.
